Another lost toss and Upskill found themselves batting in the Round 3 game v Wynnum Manly.

4/9 after 7 was a horror start for Upskill, but a series of solid partnerships restored some order. Luke Ronday and Dan Gray added 22 for the 5th, then partnerships of 32, 23, 39, 20 and 26* all anchored by splendid 68 not out from 60 balls By Campbell Farrelly took the score to a respectable 171. Unfortunately, the Wynnum Over rate was two slow and the final two overs were not bowled. Ram Akula took the bowling honours with 3/25.

An opening stand of 43 in just 8 overs set the scene for Wynnum. Three wickets in 9 balls just before drinks reduced Wynnum to 5/92, but a 50 partnership between Kunal Thakur and Harry Singh restored order. Then another flurry of wickets in the 27th, 29th, 30th and 32nd overs gave Upskill a sniff at 9/164, but it was not to be. Wynnum reaching the target in 32.4 overs. As Farrelly had done for Upskill, Harry Singh anchored the Wynnum Innings with a fine 84 from 85 balls. Farrelly picked up two wickets; Whatmore picked up two wickets and two catches while Matthew Taviani also picked up two catches.
