MacGregor Mystics v Aust-Ind
Warehouse Winter 2021
Round 1 T20 Group A
9 May 2021 at Kianawah Park 12
Winning the toss and batting, the Mystics laid on a batting master class at KP 12 on Sunday in their first T20 of the year. Deepak Salgotra and Harish Kumar added 41 from 28 for the second wicket followed by 61 from 48 for the third between Harish and Sahil Puri.
Sahil provided the bulk of an 18-ball, 48 run 5th wicket partnership which included 30 off the bat of Sahil in the 17th over.
Wickets tumbled quickly at the end of the innings, but the damage was done and an imposing 190 was posted.
The opposition had a crack early on, but lost wickets in the process to be 4/53 after 7 overs; Gurpreet and skipper, Allauddin Mohammed taking 2 each. Aust-Ind consolidated taking 45 from 31 for the 5th wicket before Irfan Ahmad Cheema struck in his second over. 5/97 became 6/101 when Irfan grabbed a rare wicket maiden in the 14th over. The brakes had been well and truly applied. Aust-Ind could not find a boundary in the remaining overs and capitulated to be all out for 130 from 19.2; Irfan finishing with three wickets, 2 catches and a run out.
Taimoor Shakaut grabbed two wickets at the death to go with three catches and Harish also picked up a catch.
